The history of Rwanda in previous centuries and this current, there are a multitude of events that made a violation of child rights and wellbeing. The augmentation of populations all over the world goes hand in hand with a plurality of additional problems into diverse families and these are often unsupportable challenges to welfare and wellbeing of the child. Among these problems there is family fights due to the misunderstanding into family members, poverty, poor information for citizens about Development Large Programs, migrations, ignorance, being unconcerned, and not fulfilling family and the over-family responsibilities for everybody, responsible to the follow up of child rights and his wellbeing.
When bad consequences of the above problems take place, the children take unreal decisions according to their level of thinking. Some of these decisions are:
- Going far from their families to be street children
- Searching for domestic jobs and child labor
- Consuming drugs
- Stunting
- School dropout etc…
All of those issues are direct causes which make them bad habits, contrary to real education of the Rwandan and African Child while some of them die within those circumstances. As it is shown in the international announcement, relative to the human rights in chapter four, no man can be introduced to servant acts and all relative activities to this, however this can be; these are all forbidden. Thus, the children’s hard acts by mature people are not allowed too. Every child must be protected of all those abnormal worse activities, as it is shown in the Rwandan confirmed say: “A child obeys the adult and the adult cares of a child.”
The Government of Rwanda has in duties to follow up for child protection and his rights by doing as possible all tasks that happen the wellbeing of the Rwandan child, helping also the Rwandan family how they can protect a child and following up the accomplishment of the child rights, appointing to the wellbeing of the Rwandan child.
They have to prepare well the most wonderful future of a child. Particularly, the Government of Rwanda made the daily administrative concerns to control the welfare of all plans to the Rwandan child. Among them there are included: The Rwanda National Children Commission, the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion and the Non-Governmental Organizations; and they opened all ways to give suggestions concerning to children. Here is an example of the Rwanda High National Children’s Conference that takes place once per year.
For example, the 11th National Children’s summit which had taken place in the Parliament Office on 08th December 2016 whereby the fourteen decisions relative to the child protection and his wellbeing had taken. And it was wondered and decided the African Child Day. In Rwanda, the children were given right to vote their representatives from village to the upper level.
Also the 12th National Children’s Summit published 15 recommendations include five of our area we work for, and they will be done for partnering with Government of Rwanda. These recommendations are:

- 1: Strengthening TVET schools (Technical Vocational Education and Training) and sensitize children/youth to join them for their bright future through entrepreneurship.
- 3: To improve the level of implementation of ECD program and supporting parents for caring their children
- 4: To sensitize parents to associate and creating home Based ECD
- 12: To sensitize all institutions of the community and parents for positive parenting and to remember their responsibilities
- 14: To sensitize children to have good behavior of discipline, obedi-ence, patriotism, work participation or self-resilience and to avoid school dropout.
Even if some of these were done, the harvest did not reach to all children; whilst there are found some young people still living on the road although they have their own families, within they were born. In addition, there are children who actually neglect, leave schools and the families too, in need of the domestic jobs everywhere in the country and outside while they are not yet mature to support such jobs, the stunting children and the circumstances they meet there.
The best results did not reach to all children, there are young children who are still found on the street in case they have families where they were born. In addition, there also children who leave schools in search of domestic jobs everywhere in the country, even in foreign countries while they are not yet mature to support circumstances they meet there; due to some parents who do not happen well duties concerning to educa-tion of their children.
For this issue is being augmented day per day, it is why it needs several fight by patriot-ic Rwandans in order to advocate for children so that their rights happen as real as it is.
This is additionally the reason why Family Care for Children (FCC Rwanda) is coming through its four programs; here we are confidently:
- To reintegrate street children into their families and caregivers. This program in Kinyarwanda is named “umwana mu rugo” means “child at home”
- To fight against school dropout and focusing on Children and Youth in general to back at ordinary schools and TVET schools (Technical Vocational Education and Training) for reaching their wellbeing and welfare to form good citizens for Rwanda, Africa and the world. In Kinyarwanda this program is named “Garuka wige” means “back to study”
- To sensitize all institutions of the community and parents for positive parent-ing and to remember their responsibilities. In Kinyarwanda this program is named “Rera neza” means “positive parenting”
- To improve and promote the level of implementation of ECD program, sensi-tize parents to associate and creating Homme Based ECD, avoid stunting, improve-ment of children’s hygiene, to fight against malnutrition and additionally supporting parents for caring their children. This program in Kinyarwanda named “Kura neza” means “good growth”.
III. The office of Family Care for Children:
The office of FCC is provisionally made in Kiramuruzi Sector, Gatsibo District Eastern Prov-ince. This can be made everywhere in Rwanda via the approval of the General assembly of FCC. The above programs will therefore execute all its activities on the whole territory of Rwanda, in the undetermined guarantee.
